Driver of the car Impersonating a police officer Gold Coast
Police are investigating the theft of a car that has since been involved in a number of offences including impersonating a police officer within the Gold Coast area in the past month.
A dark grey Subaru Impreza (pictured above) bearing Queensland registration plates 487 WCM was stolen from an address on Eden View Drive at Reedy Creek on April 8.
The car has since been linked to several offences including the theft of two Queensland registration plates, 263 YBR from a Worongary address and 959 WTW from a Yatala address.
Around 3pm on April 16, the car was allegedly involved in impersonating a police officer on the Pacific Motorway, southbound near Elysium Drive at Carrara.
The driver of the car was allegedly wearing a Queensland Police Service baseball cap and driving alongside motorists instructing them to pull over, however, police have not received any reports of drivers complying.
Between April 25 and May 5, the vehicle has been involved in at least six different dangerous driving offences throughout the Mudgeeraba and Gold Coast areas.
The vehicle was last sighted by police yesterday afternoon at around 3pm in the Mudgeeraba area with damage to the rear bumper and bearing stolen Queensland registration plates 959 WTW.
Police are urging members of the public to contact police if they sight the car and not to approach it.
